FAQs for Gowns

Q: When do I need to order my wedding gown?

A: We recommend that you order your wedding gown at least 6-12 months in advance of your wedding date. This ensures enough time for your chosen style to be made to order and altered if necessary. However, if you have less time than this, please do let us know and we'll be happy to show you the designs which can be made up in your timescale or that have a rush service available.

Q: How do I order my gown?

A: You will need to book an appointment for your measurements to be taken and to place your deposit (which is half of the cost of your dress)

Q: Can I pay by installments?

A: Yes you can, there are various installment plans available, our most popular are the 12 month and 8 month plans. Please contact us for more information regarding the best option for you.

Q: Can I customise my gown?

A: Yes, your gown can have any colour of crystal or pearl added to it or extra detail can be added to any existing design from the collection. 'Vintage' style lace is also available and we will be happy to quote you based on your requirements.

Q: Are alterations available on my gown?

A: You can choose to have your alterations done through us, or if you prefer, you can use your own seamstress or tailor. Alterations normally cost between £40.00 and £250.00 and are available on any gown from our collection.

Q: How many fittings will I need?

A: Usually 2-3 fittings will be required over the course of about 8-12 weeks,however, this does depend on your individual circumstances. If you feel you may gain or lose weight in the lead up to your wedding, or in the case of pregnancy, your fittings would be held much closer to your wedding day.

Q: Do you offer a gown cleaning service?

A: Yes, we offer a professional cool cleaning service which is suitable for fine fabrics, delicate lace, sequins, pearls and crystal embellishments. You can also choose if you would like to have your gown boxed in acid free tissue and presented in a satin and lace detailed archive box suitable for long term storage.

Q: Can you send gowns out to me at my home address?

A: We can send gowns either to any UK address or within the EU for an additional courier charge. Payment can be made by BACS or by telephone with a Visa Debit, Visa Credit or Mastercard. Courier charges vary with different weight gowns and different destinations, so please ask for details. As with our standard ordering system, all Sale dresses and made to order gowns are non refundable.
